Kombat is the musical project of Anish Denoon, a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer who was born in Nottingham, spent ten years in Singapore and is now studying at Leeds Uni. He’s been playing instruments since he was 4, writing songs since 11 and releasing as Kombat since the age of 15. Kombat has since released over 25 songs, ranging from acoustic ballads to rock anthems to hip-hop inspired tracks, that showcase his versatility, talent and passion for music.

As a prolific, self-published and unsigned artist, Kombat is releasing one song every month throughout 2023. “I’m obsessed with music and am creating every day”, says Anish, “I especially love shutting myself away in my room with my guitars and drums, layering on the vocals, then refining the song with production, mixing and mastering. Uploading that final track is so satisfying”.

Constantly evolving and experimenting with new sounds and styles, Kombat’s songs are catchy, energetic and authentic reflecting his personal experiences, observations and opinions on life, love and society. Anish draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists from the 40's to the present day, and his music published under Kombat is particularly influenced by Arctic Monkeys, Kanye West, Oasis, Fatboy Slim, The Jam, The Strokes, Tyler The Creator, Stevie Wonder, The Clash, The Beatles, Fontaines D.C. and Nirvana.

Kombat has gained recognition and support from BBC Music Introducing East Midlands, who have played several of his songs on air and interviewed him in 2020. He has also been featured on several podcasts and blogs, receiving positive reviews.

Kombat has built a loyal fan base on Spotify, where he has over 328k total streams, 79k total listeners and 2.5k followers. His songs are also available on other streaming platforms, including Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon, Pandora, Deezer and Tidal.
